Clear answers to what HR teams and international hires ask us most often. Still have questions? Book a free consultation below.

Who needs expatriate support services?
Companies relocating foreign employees to the Czech Republic, and individuals — freelancers, contractors, senior hires — needing work permits, visas, or trade licences. We handle both B2B corporate relocations and individual applications.
How long does a visa or work permit take?
Employee cards typically take 60–90 days from application; EU Blue Cards 30–60 days; short-term visas 15–30 days; trade licences around 5 business days once documents are ready. We shorten timelines by preparing every document correctly the first time.
Do I need to speak Czech?
No. You sign a power of attorney, we handle all communication with Czech authorities — in person, in Czech, with government offices. All our updates back to you are in English.
What documents do I need?
Passport, current visa or permit (if applicable), employment contract, proof of qualifications (apostilled diplomas), and a criminal record extract from your home country. We'll give you a personalised checklist during onboarding.
What is the cost?
Every case is different. The initial consultation is free. A trade licence application is a flat 6 900 CZK service fee + 1 000 CZK government fee. Corporate relocation packages are quoted per case after the consultation call.
Can I bring my family?
Yes. Family reunification is a core service. Spouse and children can typically join under dependent visas once the primary permit is issued. We manage all paperwork, school search, and practical settling-in support.
Can we start while I'm still abroad?
Absolutely. We can kick off the application before you land. Consultations via email, WhatsApp, or video call. We coordinate document collection (including apostilles from your home country) so you arrive with everything in order.
Do you help with Czech company incorporation?
Yes — s.r.o. and a.s. company setup is part of our Legal Services. From name reservation and notary deed to bank account opening and Commercial Register filing, we run the whole process.
Can I register multiple business activities on one trade licence?
Yes. The Czech free trade (volná živnost) is one single trade that contains 82 activity fields (per gov.cz). You can register as many of those 82 fields as you want at the same time — no extra fee. Beyond the free trade, you can also add separate craft (řemeslná), bound (vázaná), or concessed (koncesovaná) trades if you meet the professional-qualification requirements; each additional trade type costs 500 CZK (first trade is 1 000 CZK).
What is the 60/40 flat-rate expense method?
A simplified tax scheme for freelancers: you can deduct 60 % of your income as flat expenses without keeping receipts, and pay tax only on the remaining 40 %. For most consulting, IT, and creative trades, this is dramatically lower tax than real-expense accounting. Applicable up to 2 million CZK income per year.
Will I charge VAT on invoices to foreign clients?
Usually no. Services invoiced to companies outside the Czech Republic are typically reverse-charge (zero VAT for you). If you invoice Czech clients and your annual turnover exceeds 2 million CZK, VAT registration becomes mandatory. We'll walk you through the thresholds during setup.
What are my monthly obligations after registration?
Three monthly payments: Social Security (minimum ~3 400 CZK in first year), Health Insurance (minimum ~2 900 CZK), and — if VAT-registered — monthly VAT report. Plus one annual income-tax return by 1 April. We offer ongoing accounting and tax advisory so you never miss a deadline.
